- Upright mound with long arching shiny green leaves.
- The leaves emerge with some wax on them giving a grey-green look but will be shiny green in summer.
- Leaves are deeply lobed at the base with prominent veining.
- Large, semi-fragrant near white flowers appear in mid summer.
- Flowers earlier than most other fragrant hostas.
