Epimedium Plants

Epimediums are great woodland perennials that can be used as groundcovers or as accents in the shade garden.
In spring the Epimediums emerge with an abundance of dainty attractive flowers. The foliage on most Epimediums is tinged with a bronzy-red color in Spring and Fall. Epimediums prefer a cool shaded area that is moist but well drained although most are very drought tolerant and make great ground covers under trees where other perennials fade. These easy to grow perennials make excellent companion plants to hostas in the shade garden.  They are also deer and rabbit resistant.
