Originally introduced to North America as a houseplant by experimentally-inclined horticulturists, they were delighted to discover that it is perfectly hardy in Zone 5 and higher.
With its glossy stiff foliage and perfect form I am always drawn to this fern when working in our fern patch.
I would love to see this fern planted with reddish/purple Heuchera and gold Hosta.
