The purple color bleeds into the center of the leaf in spring creating a unique look. In colder climates the leaf is blushed with purple throughout the leaf.
The purple fades as the heat of summer arrives but it is well worth the spring show.
Summer color is a grey-green and the leaves get quite corrugated.
