Deciduous fern that is native to wooded areas in eastern and midwestern states.

Light green fronds are triangular and grow to about 18-24 inches tall.

Spreads through underground rhizomes so can naturalize an area.

Can be a little aggressive so not the best fern for all gardens.

Tolarant of a wide range of soil conditions.

Can handle some sun if the soil is consistantly moist.

Fronds turn a beautiful yellow in Autumn.
