Shipping and Handling Terms
We have chosen Federal Express to deliver our plants to you. This decision was based on our experience with different carriers delivering plants to us over the past 25 years we have been in operation.
Shipping Destinations
Presently, we are shipping to all the contiguous states plus Alaska. Your order will be shipped in the pot with the exception of Arizona, California and Alaska. Orders to Arizona, California and Alaska will be shipped bare root via US Postal Priority. We are not shipping out of the United States at this time.
2010 Shipping Schedules
We resumed shipping live hostas on February 22, 2010 for our southern most customers. Note: Placing orders early guarantees you will get your selections. Tell us at the time of placing the order when you would like them shipped. Or you may leave it up to us to schedule the correct time for your area.
To ensure that your receive your hostas promptly, we ship as follows:
- Northeast - Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
- East of the Mississippi - Monday & Tuesday
- West of the Mississippi - Monday only
Note: This schedule is to avoid having your shipment of hosta sitting in a terminal over the weekend.
Shipping Costs
There is a minimal shipping cost per delivery of $9.95. Each additional 4 1/2 and 3 inch pot will be 30 cents, starting with the second pot. Due to the low weight of starter hosta plant plugs, however, there will be no additional 30 cents charge per starter/plug. You can purchase the different sizes on the same order and we will be shipping both sizes to you in one shipment. Your shopping cart will calculate the appropriate shipping charges on your order.
Minimum Order
We have a minimum order requirement of $25.00.
Payments Accepted
We accept Master Card, Visa, Discover, American Express, checks and money orders.
Most of our hosta are in 4 1/2 inch wide by 5 inch deep pots that weigh close to 2 pounds when shipped. This is why our shipping costs may appear more costly than sites selling you smaller tissue cultured hosta. Our plants have been grown for a season in their container whether they originated from our divisions or the tissue culture lab. When you compare plant value and shipping costs, please make sure you are comparing apples to apples.
Satisfaction Guarantee
We guarantee our plants to arrive in good, healthy condition and to be properly labeled. Your satisfaction is our goal so that you will continue to order from us and recommend us. If for any reason you are not satisfied, return your purchase to us within 30 days and we will refund the purchase price.
Bottom line, if it was our fault, please let us know within 30 days and we will correct it to your satisfaction. We can not be responsible after 30 days due to the unpredictability of Mother Nature and other problems beyond our control.
