Shipping and Handling Terms
We have chosen Federal Express to deliver our plants to you. This decision was based on our experience with different carriers delivering plants to us for the more than 25 years that we have been in operation.

How We Determine Our Shipping Costs - Free Shipping on Plant Orders Over $60
Our plants are shipped in their containers with the soil and this makes our shipping costs more than other companies who ship their plants bareroot with no soil. Our containers weigh close to two pounds each. You will pay more for shipping with us over companies who ship bareroot plants, but you will receive a plant from New Hampshire Hostas that has not gone through any stress. Our plants can stay in their containers for as long as you want as long as you keep them moist and when you plant them, they are easy to plant in the ground. Bareroot plants need to be planted within days of arrival, often the leaves have been removed, and are more difficult to plant.

Shipping Destinations
We ship to all the contiguous states plus Alaska. Your order will be shipped in the pot with the exception of Arizona, California, Oregon and Alaska. Orders to Arizona, California, Oregon and Alaska will be shipped Bare Root via US Postal Priority. We have to ship our product bare root to these states because of strict state agricultural laws. We are not shipping out of the United States at this time.

We Can Ship Year Round
During the winter season, we can ship live - but dormant - 3" and 4" potted hostas to our southern most customers or to those customers in colder areas who have a greenhouse.

2011 Shipping Schedules
Placing orders early guarantees you will get your selections. Tell us at the time of placing the order when you would like them shipped. Or you may leave it up to us to schedule the correct time for your area.

To ensure that you receive your hostas promptly, we ship as follows:

• Northeast -Tuesday & Wednesday, Monday when possible
• East of the Mississippi - Monday & Tuesday
• West of the Mississippi - Monday only

Note: This schedule is to avoid having your shipment of hosta sitting in a terminal over the weekend.

Shipping Costs for Orders that Don't Qualify for Free Shipping
There is a minimal shipping cost per delivery of $9.95. Each additional 4 1/2 and 3 inch pot will be 35 cents, starting with the second pot. Due to the low weight of starter hosta plant plugs, however, there will be no additional 35 cents charge per starter/plug. You can purchase the different sizes on the same order and we will be shipping both sizes to you in one shipment. Your shopping cart will calculate the appropriate shipping charges on your order.

All plant orders over $60.00 will receive Free Shipping!

Minimum Order
We have a minimum order requirement of $25.00.

Payments Accepted
We accept Master Card, Visa, Discover, checks and money orders.

Most of our hosta are in 4 1/2 inch wide by 5 inch deep pots that weigh close to 2 pounds when shipped. This is why our shipping costs may appear more costly than sites selling you smaller tissue cultured hosta. Our plants have been grown for a season in their container whether they originated from our divisions or the tissue culture lab. When you compare plant value and shipping costs, please make sure you are comparing apples to apples.

Satisfaction Guarantee
We guarantee our plants to arrive in good, healthy condition and to be properly labeled. Your satisfaction is our goal so that you will continue to order from us and recommend us. If for any reason you are not satisfied, return your purchase to us within 30 days and we will refund the purchase price.

Bottom line, if it was our fault, please let us know within 30 days and we will correct it to your satisfaction. We can not be responsible after 30 days due to the unpredictability of Mother Nature and other problems beyond our control.
