(O. Petryszyn 2010) Giant Cultivar
Large blue-green leaves are shiny and slightly seer suckered. The underside of the leaves have a thick white bloom.
Olga named this hosta after Lake Superior and the ojibwe indians language in which Gitchigumi stands for big water!
When the wind blows and you see the white underside of the leaves you can imagine seeing the whitecaps on Lake Superior.
Very large white flowers appear in late summer.
